Jan Yager, Ph.D.
BOOK PROMOTION BOOT CAMPS

Thursday, October 23rd, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Midtown Manhattan (NY)

Writing a book is the first step but today, more than ever before, being able to actively promote it is also pivotal for increased sales. In many cases, knowledge of book promotion and marketing has become necessary to help interest a literary agent or publisher in the first place in a book proposal or sample chapters.

Whether you are self-published or published by a small or major publishing company, whether this is your first book or your fifth, whether you are a book publicist or an editor who wants to learn more about book promotion, this Book Promotion Boot Camp will help you to take a more active role in book promotion. Authors who understand the basics of book promotion, including the time line for promoting a new book, as well as techniques for continuing to get publicity even after a book is no longer new, will increase the likelihood that they will get attention (through reviews, feature articles, or radio or TV/cable interviews) and increased sales rather than be ignored.
